Aerobic exercise is considered to be any sustained activity that uses the larger muscles of your body. That being said, aerobic exercise can range anywhere from walking, to running, to biking, to swimming. Aerobic means “with oxygen,” or, in other words, your body is using oxygen to produce energy to continue working out. This is why when you’re participating in aerobic activity, your breathing gets heavier!
