Description:

MWHC FALL 2022 Walking Challenge

The FALL 2022 Walking Challenge will promote wellness by encouraging participants to walk more often during the day. Participants may use supported activity tracking devices to record the number of daily steps taken OR manually enter steps into the ChallengeRunner.com system. The totals of those steps are then compared against other teams and a leaderboard is made available.

In order to receive data from tracking devices, each participant must first install the appropriate app and create an account on the activity tracker's site. Every participant must then authorize ChallengeRunner.com to capture individual data as follows:

  1. After logging in, the participant must click the Profile link at the top of the home page and then click the Authorize link. On the tracker website shown the user must enter their ID and Password they created when they first registered the device.
  2. Once the device is authorized, the user must ensure that they connect their device to the activity tracker's website at least once per day to sync data.

This challenge will run for 4 weeks. The first 10 teams with the most steps at the end of the challenge WINS!

The Walking Challenge has the following characteristics:

  • In the leaderboard, each participant group can see where they stand in relation to other participants.
  • ChallengRunner recommends that devices be SYNCED EVERY DAY to ensure the most up-to-date information on the leaderboard; however, participants may take up to 7 days after the log date to sync data. (The minimum requirement is for teams to update their information once a week.)
  • Although activity trackers are supported, they ARE NOT REQUIRED. Participants may choose to use any app or device that counts steps and manually enter their own data.
