Description:

1st Annual Battle of the Winter Bulge Fitness Challenge

On average, a person gains 7-10 pounds between Thanksgiving and New Year. Let’s get ahead of the gain by getting active and participating in some friendly competition! Join your department team to earn 1 point for every 10 intentional active minutes you complete.

Individuals can also earn bonus points for their team by participating in weekly tasks (points will be earned per person/event). Information regarding bonus opportunities will be emailed on Friday preceding the start of each week.

Tracking

Points for a given activity may be logged for up to seven days after the actual date (e.g. you may log items from November 23 until November 30).

The last day to enter points for the challenge is January 1 (the day after the last day of the challenge).

You can log your daily points one of two ways:

Additionally, you can log daily steps and daily activity minutes using an activity tracker/activity tracking software.  The following activity trackers are supported:

Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin, Google Fit, Samsung Health
