Description:

Staying healthy and active on a regular basis is far from simple, and adding gym closures, stay-at-home orders and social distancing requirements to the mix makes it that much more difficult to maintain motivation during this pandemic. Let's make fitness more fun with a friendly team competition! 

Object: Compete as a team to log miles for healthy activities during the month of August. The team with the most points at the end of the month will win $ to donate to a charity of choice! 

Point Structure: Earn points for any of the following activities: walking, running, cycling and swimming.

Because not every activity requires the same effort (e.g., a 1-mile swim is arguably more difficult than a 1-mile bike ride), we've applied a "point multiplier" to each activity.

  1. Walking: 150 points per mile, with a 100 point bonus if you walk 4+ miles in a day
  2. Running: 100 points per mile, with a 100 point bonus if you run 3+ miles in a day
  3. Cycling: 25 points per mile, with a 100 point bonus if you bike 10+ miles in a day
  4. Swimming: 250 points per mile, with a 100 point bonus if you swim 1+ miles in a day
